More news on the tour

Another taster of the forthcoming James Burton and The Mufkin Tass twelve day European tour. This time Mark Schraven has sent us a link to a recording done June 2009 during their rehearsals for this tour. We have already mentioned that this is going to be a sell out for sure as these guys are really working their butts of to deliver the goods. Rehearsing since June 2009 is proof of that!

James is not actually on this recording, well not yet any way! As we all know 'For Old Times Sake' was written by Tony Joe White and recorded by Elvis Presley.It was the flip side to 'Raised On Rock' of course James, along with Ronnie Tutt were part of the musicians involved with the recording in 1973. Update on Mufkin Tass Tour

The twelve day European tour with The Mufkin Tass and James Burton is we hear, almost set up and tickets will be available for all dates pretty soon. Keep checking in with us for details.

James Burton and The Mufkin Tass European Tour.

James will be joining 7-piece Dutch band Mufkin Tass for a twelve date tour of Holland with a difference. Rather than purely focusing on the music of the legendary Elvis Presley, this one-time-only tour will feature the full reportoire of James' impressive 50+ year career! The music James made with Emmylou Harris, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, The Monkees, Jerry Lee Lewis, John Denver, The Everley Brothers and Gram Parsons as well as Elvis, will be included in these unique shows of legendary American music. This is a unique chance to hear the golden pieces from the history of rock and pop music played by the one and only man who shaped and peppered these songs with his unique trademark guitar work.
